4. Recycled Paper Workshop

Extending our commitment, not only to the environment, but also to involving local communities, we have setup a workshop with the Mayan people to reuse paper discarded from the local organizations and businesses. The waste paper is mixed with water and natural leaves to make new products which, in turn, helps educate children to the possibilities in recycling what was once little more than waste paper.

Local schools, groups from governmental institutions, and other organizations are also participating in the project, through which they will learn the different skills needed to make handcrafts from recycled material.
